Study of methodology for improving cavitation performance of liquid oxygen pump inducer

  • The effect of slotting at the inlet of liquid oxygen(LOX) pump inducer casing on cavitation performance was researched using computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The scheme of blade with dual arcs was analyzed and adopted.In the process of the flow field calculation,the loading of blade inlet under non-cavitating condition was analyzed;the cavitation performance for the inducer was calculated.The calculation results indicate that,the loading of the blades inlet can be suppressed greatly,and the cavitation performance can be improved efficiently with the modified scheme,while the efficiency and head of inducer vary little.
