Experiment study on single/fuel-lean rapped vortex combustor ignition and limit blow-out at different main air and mix air temperatures

  • To investigated ignition and limit blow-out(LBO) of a single trapped vortex combustor(cavity fueled only) test rig with kerosene as fuel,experiments were conducted in various inlet main air conditions and temperatures of premixed air.The experiment results indicate that the temperature of premixed air would improve ignition and LBO obviously,but the cavity air is a key factor.There is a critical value for main air,and the single trapped vortex combustor could obtain the best ignition performance.It becomes difficult for ignition when Mach number of main air is 0.59.
