  • Based on the coordinately working of aero-valve gasoline-air pulse detonation engine(PDE),the effects of fuel-supply position(before or after aero valves) on the pressure peaks of detonation wave and PDE's working frequency were investigated.Experimental results show that PDE can achieve higher pressure peak for fuel supplied before aero valves than that after aero valve.A time-series analysis model was established for aero-valve PDE,the predicted filling velocity under given working frequency agrees well with the experiment. The further results based on this model show that there are small influences on the working frequency for different fuel-supply positions under the same filling velocity, while the realizable working frequency can be two times larger when deflagration to detonation transition(DDT) time reduces from 3.8 ms to 2 ms.These results are helpful for PDE's design and optimization.
