Surge experimentation research for a whole turbine-shaft engine

  • For the requirement of a turbine-shaft engine research,surge experimentation had been done exploringly in a whole engine test-bed.This paper describes engine surge,the design of surge experimentation method,experimentation equipment and the process of the experimentation.In the end,the results of the experimentation have been analysed and summarized,the results make clear that the experimentation method is valid,connecting high pressure air to the engine bleeds can do the engine surge experimentation successfully.Consequently the real surge margin of the compressor installed in the overall engine can be gotten.
