The design of damping-sleeve for vibration control was based on the research of damping-ring for vibration control in labyrinth air seals.The dynamic response of labyrinth air seals with different damping-sleeve(thickness,contact area) and interference was analyzed by dynamic compliance method.The simulation results confirm the validity of the proposed model and method,and show that the damping-sleeve could reduce the amplitude of the labyrinth air seals notably.Best parameters of damping-sleeve are available,which lead to the best effect of vibration control.The vibration control of damping-sleeve differs from varied modal shapes of labyrinth air seals.
