Localization characteristics of vibratory mode for bladed disk assemblies

  • It is well known that "deliberate mistuning" in blade design is effective for suppression of the aerodynamic stability (flutter).But the localization characteristics of vibratory mode for bladed disk assemblies with this mistuning are not yet researched deeply.In this paper the vibration characteristics of a typical bladed disk with deliberate mistuning were investigated,with particular regard to the localization characteristics of modal shapes for two mistuning strategies.For the cases considered it is found that "deliberate mistuning" in blade design can greatly increase the modal localization of bladed disk assemblies.
