Modification of Z-A model and the prediction of the constitutive model

  • Zerilli-Armstrong(Z-A) model was developed based on the constitutive model of thermally activated dislocation kinetics.But,some simplifying assumptions in Z-A model decreased its predicted accuracy.In order to improve the predicted accuracy,the strain hardening exponent function that considers the coupled effect of the strain rate and the temperature was introduced into Z-A model.And the modified Z-A model was used to describe flow behaviors of alloy IC10 under different experiment conditions.As compared with the predicted data of classical Z-A model and the experimental data,it was found that the predicted accuracy of the modified Z-A model was improved obviously.The max average relative error decreased from 6.41% to 3.65%.
