Numerical simulation of fluid-structure interaction in conical parachute's opening process

  • According to a multi-node model,this paper has constructed dynamics equations of conical parachute system to simulate distortion process of the flexible canopy in the opening process.By combination of dynamics equations code and computational fluid dynamics(CFD) software,the fluid-structure interaction study of the parachute was carried out,and the change of its shape and flow flied,inflation time,the rate of decline,the distant of decline,and other relevant data were achieved in agreement with foreign research results.
