Application of fractional Fourier transform in one turbine-shaft engine surge analyse

  • The article constructed signal to simulate the fractional Fourier transform(FRFT)'s characteristics of time-frequency analysis and validated that FRFT can relieve time and frequency coupling effectively.Then, typical surge experiment data of a turbine-shaft engine were processed using FRFT in order to pick up surge characteristic signal.With the FRFT energy spectrum of the surge characteristic signal, we evaluated the instantaneous surge frequency.The results show that using the characteristics of FRFT's energy congregation in the rotary angle, which matches with the engine surge's peculiarity, helps pick up the engine's surge characteristics signal effectively;using the FRFT energy spectrum helps estimate the instantaneous surge frequency.
