Failure detection of actuators of aero-engine control system by interaction matrix formulation

  • Currently there is no efficient method to detect and isolate the failure of actuators, which are an integral part of aero-engine control system.In this paper a novel technique was introduced, which allowed to formulate the difference about the actuators output through the controller's command output and the engine's actual output by means of interaction matrix.Therefore, the failure of multiple actuators could be detected and isolated successfully.The digital simulations demonstrate that this strategy has a high accuracy when it is applied in failures detection of the actuators of aero-engine control system.
