To overcome the limitation of the methods for diagnosing aero-engine rub fault based on singular value decomposition(SVD),the method for reconstructing abrupt information by using the differences of the singular values was presented based on the reconstructed signal's energy components derived by means of matrix analysis,and the fault diagnosis process was established.The presented method was verified by simulation signals,and the results confirmed the consistency of the presented theory.Finally,the method was applied to process the test data of an aero-engine,and the rub fault was diagnosed successfully.The results show that the presented method is effective to detect rotor-stator rub fault of the aero-engine.
