Experimental investigation on the influence of bowed blade in ultra-highly loaded turbine cascade

  • An experimental investigation was performed to analyze the influence of bowed blade on the aerodynamic performance of the turbine cascades with high-turning angle of 160° through flow visualization and topological analysis of the flow patterns.The result shows that the influence of bowed blade on ultra-highly loaded turbine cascades with high-turning angle is different from the common turbines.A positive bowed blade deteriorates the flow structure,and the flow loss increases distinctly.A negative bowed blade improves the aerodynamic performance of the turbine cascades,and the flow loss is reduced.
