Abstract

Abstract

In order to break through the limitation of traditional engineering empiric formulas for amorce mass estimation,a method was introduced based on the hypothesis of solid phase ignition.The formula was used to estimate the amorce mass for solid rocket motor in different concepts and configurations.The results indicate the estimations agree well with the experiment values.The results show that this method is superior to classic engineering formulas in estimation precision and applicability.
