Critical technologies for aero-engine prognostics and health management systems development

  • The definition,design objective and functions of engine prognostics and health management(EPHM) system were introduced in this paper.Along with the technical characteristics of EPHM systems of the fourth generation fighter engines,such as EJ200 and F119,the association scheme of a new EPHM system with its airplane and engine was discussed.The basic configurations of both on-line and off-line EPHM subsystems were further discussed.The technical specification of typical EPHM systems in modern advanced fighters was then presented.Critical technologies for aero engine prognostics and health management systems development were summarized.
