Influence of tip clearance flow on performance of one micro centrifugal compressor

  • In order to research the effects of different clearance widths of small centrifugal compressor,a high speed centrifugal compressor was investigated by numerical simulation.The results show that,the leakage flow is strengthened with the increase of gap width,leading to decrease of impeller'pressurization capacity and efficiency.Thereafter,the stage pressure ratio,efficiency and flow rate decrease correspondingly,and the stable margin of compressor is affected significantly.
