Based on the Voronoi random model for closed-cell foam,the effect of nonuniformity of cell wall thickness on isotropic and anisotropic elastic properties of closed-cell foams was investigated.The combined effect of random cell wall thickness and model irregularity was also discussed.Results indicate that the random cell wall thickness has a reducing effect on the isotropic and anisotropic elastic moduli,and such effect of random cell wall thickness is less than that of model irregularity for isotropic foams,contrary to anisotropic foams;however,the effect of random cell wall thickness on the Poisson's ratio for closed-cell foam is very small.
