Effect of kinetic mechanism of blocker doors on aerodynamic performance for a cascade thrust reverser

  • Based on the structure and working principle of the cascade thrust reverser,a preliminary research was conducted to analyze the impact of reverser's kinetic schedule on the exit static pressure of the fan and aerodynamic load of the blocker doors.The results show that,the kinetic schedule directly influences the position of fan's working point during deploying/retracting reverser process.Schedule 3 and 4 are suitable separately for reversers installed in engines with relatively small and big surge margin fan.For all kinetic schedules,aerodynamic load on blocker doors increases sharply once it starts operation.
