Coupled heat transfer calculation on an airfoil electrothermal anti-icing surface

  • The phenomenon of heat and mass transfer on an anti-icing surface was analyzed,and the calculation of internal-external coupled heat transfer was studied in this paper.The evaporation mass flux was evaluated according to the heat and mass transfer analogy.The skin surface was discrete,and the finite difference equations of the energy and mass conservation were developed,enabling to couple the external heat loads,thermal conduction within the skin and the internal heat flux.The energy finite difference equations were solved by Gauss-Seidel iteration method.The coupled heat transfer calculation was an iteration process triggered with an initial surface temperature and maintained by under-relaxation factors.The surface equilibrium temperature,runback water and runback icing were obtained after convergence.The numerical results in this paper were compared with the icing tunnel experimental data and numerical results from reliable literatures,showing good agreement with them.
