Effect of the holes array arrangement on the full coverage film cooling characteristics

  • The characteristic of flow field,adiabatic wall film cooling effectiveness and total film cooling effectiveness of full coverage film discrete holes wall were numerically investigated using the standard k-ε two-equation turbulent model,in order to understand the effects of blowing ratio and holes array arrangement.The results show that holes array arrangement with long hole to hole downstream distance and short hole to hole lateral distance is the optimal arrangement.Under this arrangement,the penetration of film outflow is weaker and film coverage region is larger,while the adiabatic wall film cooling effectiveness is better.The total film cooling effectiveness is consistent with the adiabatic wall film cooling effectiveness,showing that the holes array arrangement with long hole to hole downstream distance and short hole to hole lateral distance is the optimal arrangement.
