In order to investigate the flow and heat transfer performances in the co-rotating cavity with two inner shrouds and de-swirl inflow holes in its left disc,a numerical study was conducted. The effects of de-swirl angle, rotational Reynolds number and non-dimensional flow velocities on the flow and heat transfer characteristics in the co-rotating cavity were numerically simulated. The results show that the total pressure drop in the cavity exhibits an "S-curve" variation with the increase of non-dimensional mass flow coefficient. The heat transfer of the disc surface is enhanced with the increase of rotational Reynolds number and non-dimensional mass flow coefficient. The de-swirl inflow in the co-rotating cavity has better cooling efficiency than the pre-swirl inflow in the rotor-stator cavity.
