Investigation of thrust balance for the single module scramjet

  • A single-component thrust balance using force sensor was investigated and applied to single module scramjet wind tunnel test.When tested in pulse combustion wind tunnel,the oscillation frequency of the balance/model/support system was about 20 Hz,and the signal is steady.The balance can meet the needs of pulse combustion wind tunnel test.Under the same test condition,the results of pulse combustion wind tunnel and long-duration high temperature hypersonic wind tunnel are similar,proving that the balance can be put into application and the results are believable.
