Experimental investigation on stator-rotor interaction flow with trailing edge blowing stator

  • The mixed flow field and noise characteristic of the stator wake interaction with rotor with/without injection through a slit along the stators rear end was investigated using noise measurement equipments and particle image velocimetry.In the velocity fields,the spreading characteristics of the wakes across the rotor row were gained.The interaction flow field between pure wake and rotor was compared with the flow field between weak wake,momentumless wake,jet and rotors.The results show that the momentumless wakes make the inlet flow of the rotor more uniform,and improve the inlet flow angle of the rotor.By comparing aerodynamic and aeroacoustic performance,the trailing edge blowing up to momentumless wake can reduce BPF(blade-passing-frequency) noise,and has little effect to the aerodynamic performance.
