Optimization design and test investigation of squirrel cage elastic support

  • Optimization design and test investigation of a squirrel cage elastic support was performed.An optimization software,which is used to achieve structure parameters optimization of squirrel cage elastic support of an engine,was developed based on the genetic algorithms and MATLAB.The test of flexibility and stress was accomplished.The results indicate that the fatigue stress is decreased to approximately 40% of the original scheme,the errors between the optimization and test results are less than 6%,so the optimization design is validated.
