Investigation on six-tube aero-valve PDE with coordinate operation

  • In order to obtain the coordinate operation with six-tube aero-valve pulse detonation engine(PDE),ion sensor technique was mainly used to study the experiment under common air inlet conditions.At the same time,propagation velocity of combustion wave behind shock wave was measured quantitatively and the experiment was also validated with a pressure sensor.According to the results,the six-tube PDE can work coordinately and continuously at the operation frequency of single pipe 30Hz(the total operation frequency 90Hz).Besides,all detonation tubes reached the speed of detonation wave when the local evaporator was employed to improve the fuel evaporation.
