Conjugate heat transfer investigation on a gas turbine blade

  • This paper described the conjugate heat transfer (CHT) investigation on the Mark Ⅱ blade with hot-gas test data.The CFX solver was used for CHT and non-CHT simulations,and the corresponding results were analyzed and compared in detail.The results show that,even if the correct averaged temperature is specified on the blade surface,the calculated heat transfer coefficient distributions by using non-CHT method still exhibit some deviations due to the non-coupled boundary conditions,as compared with the CHT method and experimental data.The present investigation reveals the necessity and accuracy of CHT method.
