Investigation on power loss of homopolar active magnetic bearing with zero-bias current control

  • Homopolar radial active magnetic bearing (AMB) and axial zero-bias current control were introduced into the AMB system in this paper.Influence on power loss of AMB by the two methods was investigated by actual operation of the system.The results show that these two methods can reduce power loss of AMB effectively,and can also be applied to improve efficiency of aero engine as compared with heteropolar radial AMB and axial bias current control.
