  • The inflow turbulent fluctuating boundary conditions play a key role in large eddy or direct numerical simulations of many turbulent problems. This paper introduced a method — recycling-rescaling method for inflow fluctuation generation of compressible wall bounded turbulent flows. The theory foundation and deduction of the method were given in the paper.Several recycling-rescaling methods were introduced and some key points in the implementation were indicated.Applications were summarized and limitations were discussed. This paper can be a reference for further investigation in LES (large eddy simulation) and DNS (direct numerical simulation) of turbulent flow and combustion problems.
