Investigation on residual stress of plasma sprayed thermal barrier coatings based on moire interferometry and hole drilling method

  • Moire interferometry technique and hole drilling method were applied to study the residual stress of DZ125 in thermal barrier coatings (TBCs).The residual deformation,residual strain,and residual stress were obtained experimentally and computationally.The results show that moire interferometry combined with hole drilling method has the advantage of full field measurement and high sensitivity in measuring residual stress of TBCs.It has positive significance to study residual stress of TBCs using optical measurement method.
