Adaptive PID control for flexible rotor supported by active magnetic bearings based on single neuron with varying learning rates

  • To satisfy the requirements of active magnetic bearing system that operates on both low frequency and high frequency,the signal of the rotation speed was introduced into the control based on normal single neuron PID (proportion integration differentiation) control,and different learning rates at varying rotation speeds were selected to adjust the control parameters and obtain the active magnetic bearings with suitable stiffness and damping.The experimental results show that adaptive PID control based on single neuron with varying learning rates can reduce vibration of the rotor obviously at critical speeds,and help the system operate safely.
