Automatic feedback correction and deviation analysis for tooth surface of spiral bevel and hypoid gear

  • Based on the measurement information of tooth surface,the deviations and influential factors were identified and analyzed,and the corresponding relations between the machine-tool motion parameters and the tooth surface deviation were derived.An automatic identification system was developed to determine the deviation type and the corrected items of machine-tool motion parameters.By the model of 4-axis computerized numerical control (CNC) cutting machine and the application of numerical optimization method,the automatic correction and feedback were realized via the network between the measuring center and the cutting machine.Experiments and applications show that the expected results of effective reduction of tooth surface deviation can be achieved,the tooth surface accuracy can meet the design requirements,and the digital closed-loop manufacturing of spiral bevel and hypoid gear can be carried out effectively by means of automatic feedback correction of machine-tool motion parameters and automatic identification of tooth surface.
