Experimental study on lean-blow-out of double/fuel-lean trapped vortex combustor

  • To investigate lean-blow-out (LBO) performance of trapped vortex combustor (TVC) in high inlet flow,experiments were employed by changing Ma and temperature of main air and height to length (H/L) of the cavity.The results of experiments show that:(1) Mach number of main air has great effect on LBO.When Mach number of inlet main air becomes bigger,LBO decreases.As Mach number of inlet conditions varies,the change of LBO is great.(2) Temperature rise of main air is conducive to LBO,but after 600K,the effect is less.(3) LBO decreases when after body of cavity gas amount becomes bigger.(4) When the H/L is 0.88,the best LBO is achieved.
