Research on combustion efficiency of cavity-type ramjet

  • Direct-connected experiments were conducted to reveal combustion performance of cavity-type ramjet under different incoming flow and excess air coefficients.Results show that the combustion efficiency decreases with excess air coefficient,but depends little on the temperature of the incoming flow.Generally speaking,90% combustion efficiency of cavity-type combustor is sufficient enough to satisfy the requirement of ramjet.
