Design and experiment for a GH2/GO2 fuel-rich preburner

  • Scheme design,numerical simulation and experimental study were used to investigate a fuel-rich preburner of full flow staged combustion cycle engine in order to validate the ignition reliability and products’ temperature uniformity.Gaseous hydrogen and gaseous oxygen were selected as the propellants.Three types of structure schemes,namely,shear tricoaxial injector,multi-injector,division combustion,were analyzed contrastively.The numerical results show that,the product temperature can reach a nicer uniformity in a short preburner length by using the scheme of shear tricoaxial injector.And,the credible ignition reliability and good product temperature uniformity were validated in the experimental test.The temperature uniformity can maintain well in a large range of mass flow.
