Complex lubrication and cooling technology of rolling bearing on micro aero-engines

  • Based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method,the pressure and gas/liquid distribution in rolling bearing chamber and the effect of lubrication and cooling through varied gas-oil ratio were researched.The results show that the pressure distribution is not clearly changed with the increase of gas-oil ratio but the inhomogeneous force is enlarged in ball and cage.The gas/liquid two-phase flow distribution is not homogenized in rolling bearing chamber upstream,and then gradually becomes regular downstream and the position of ball influences the two-phase flow distribution.The thickness of oil slick distribution is not homogenized and the effect of lubrication is not enhanced with oil increase.The cooling effect of rolling bearing mainly depends on the gas-oil ratio and the large gas-oil ratio can enhance cooling effect.
