Capability simulation of the turbine damper of certain UAV system

  • Turbine damper was used as a brake equipment for the pneumatic/hydraulic launching system and arresting net recovery system of certain unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV).The mathematics model of damp moment about turbine damper was built and simulated.The results of numerical analysis indicate that rotor radius and liquid medium density are key parameters affecting damp moment.The influences of some parameters such as stator radius,axes direction clearance between rotor vane and stator vane,kinematic viscosity modulus of liquid medium,on the damp moment are lesser reversely.Many turbine dampers with diversiform structure sizes and different liquid medium were used for the measure test of damp moment.The research results indicate that the simulations are in good accordance with the experiments,proving the validity of the mathematics model of damp moment.Therefore,a dependable theoretic basis is offered for the engineering development of turbine damper by the research.
