Experimental investigation of the worst-case mode localization for a mistuned bladed disk assemblies

  • Based on the vibration mode characteristics of mistuned bladed disk,the methods for analysis mode localization were presented to assess the worst-case mode localization of mistuned bladed disk,numerical example shows that the method presented is reliable and effective.An experimental investigation of a simple 12-bladed academic blisk was then presented.The purpose was to validate theoretical predictions about the occurrence of mistuning jump-localized modes and to gain greater insight into the mechanisms by which the phenomena occur.The experimental measurements of localized mode shapes were compared to predictions based on the finite element method.The experimental measurements were found to have excellent agreement with numerical simulation results.
