Seven-hole probe and its application in the secondary flow for a high-load compressor cascade

  • The design and calibration methods for a new type of seven-hole probe were described,and better calibration results were obtained in this paper with the help of a subsonic wind tunnel and self-designed code on data reduction.Based on suitable distribution for all the non-dimension parameters,it indicates that the probe is capable of measuring complex secondary and vortex flow with the angle more than 65°.The error analysis based on calibration data shows that the probe can measure the flow velocity and angle at a relative error of 2.04% and 1.99°,respectively.For the complicated secondary flow at outlet of a highly-loading compressor cascade,the detailed flow field information can be captured by the probe,contributing to build up the secondary flow model in compressor passage.
