Hexahedral mesh regeneration method for MDO on complex aero-engine components

  • A set of hexahedral mesh regeneration modeling method was presented in this paper based on the tools of both the parametric model and topological characteristic.The parametric fixed points were designed on the local where the optimized parameters exit,while their function was to constraint the meshing topology boundary and then ensure the orthogonality of the grid and the quality of mesh regeneration.Further,the feature-based parametric finite element (FE) modeling method was developed from the mesh generation algorithm of ICEM.Finally,testing the case of the MDO (multidisciplinary design optimizationon) on the low pressure turbine shrouded blade,the method of the mesh regeneration showed in this paper is effective.
