Life extending control of aircraft engine based on adjusting acceleration schedule

  • The acceleration schedule of engine which influenced the thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF) of turbine stator blade was analyzed. Through additional acceleration limit to the original control schedule, the acceleration schedule was optimized by genetic algorithm, in consideration of the acceleration performance and life of blade. The simulation results show that the improved acceleration schedule can provide significant life extension of blade while keeping the rise time unchanged during the acceleration process.
