Numerical simulation on bypass transition of variable cycle engines

  • Based on a double bypass variable cycle engines,a bypass transition process was given.Using multi-components control method,the performance of variable cycle engine mode transition was numerical simulated by a steady state model.Compared with general turbofan engine,the variable cycle engines could change obviously the bypass ratio,and the SFC(specific fuel consumption) is depressed on subsonic cruise condition.
