Stability analysis of parametric resonance of a crack cylindrical shell with time-varying rotating speed

  • A crack cylindrical shell model with time-varying rotating speed was established using the finite element method and get the system quality stiffness and damping matrix.On the basis of modal analysis,Bolotin's method was applied to explore the dynamic instability region.Examples of stability charts were worked out and the dependence of stability on various parameters,including crack length C,modal damping ratio ξ,rotating speed basic value Ω0,steady load factor α and dynamic load factor β was discussed.
