Structure optimum design techniques for multi-web fan disk based on ANSYS

  • An optimum design model was established and main optimum design variables were chosen for fan disks based on ANSYS optimization platform.A typical fan disk structure was designed optimally by use of single-web and multi-web disk respectively.The results show that the weight of multi-web disk is much smaller than that of single-web disk, while both the deformation and strength requirements are satisfied, and the stress distribution of the former is more uniform.Generally, the multi-web has an evident advantage for the fan disk with wide rim.Moreover, multi-web fan disk is beneficial to increasing the rim's bending stiffness.
