Gas-path fault diagnosis for aero-engine based on variable weighted least-squares

  • A method of variable weighted least-squares was presented to solve the problem of large deviation in aero-engine gas-path fault diagnosis.Weighted least-squares was adopted and improved by correcting the weight coefficient matrix depending on the initial diagnosis result.Simulation on a turbofan engine shows that this method can provide meaningful and verified diagnosis of severe fault with more believable results.
