Experiment on the liner wall temperature of a slinger combustor

  • In an engine overall experiment,the liner wall temperature of a slinger combustor with diffusion cooling was measured by thermoindicator paint which may change color with varied temperature.The wall temperature distribution rule of the slinger combustor's liner was obtained.The experiment results were compared with numerical computations of flow field.The researches indicate that:(1)the temperature distribution of the liner wall is uniform,and the cooling method of the slinger combustor liner is acceptable;(2) the liner wall temperature gradient is small and the maximum wall temperature is much lower than the liner material's allowable operating temperature,hence,the liner is expected to have long endurance life.
