Analysis of performance and interface structure of cylinder gas film seal

  • The type of interface structure obviously influences the performance and design of cylinder gas seal.The paper selected six typical interface structures derived from spiral groove,and performed quantitative analysis of mechanical properties and sealing performance of the gas-film based on finite element numerical analysis method;the relationship between sealing performance of different interfaces and compressibility number(and film thickness) was established;the sealing properties of different interface types and possible advantages and disadvantages of their application were analyzed,providing a basis for selection and design guidance of cylinder gas seal.The structural parameters of these interfaces are selected based on optimal or approximately optimal data of related literature.
