Experiment and analysis on compressive modulus of X-Cor sandwich

  • Analyzing the error between theoretical result predicted by deduced formula and test data of compressive modulus,a modified model which concerned stiffness discount due to structual buckling and Z-pin length diversities was proposed,and stiffness discount mechanism of sandwich was studied.The analytical result of modified model sandwich compressive modulus was in coincidence with the test data.The theoretical formula provided basis for X-Cor sandwich design,and established the foundation for X-Cor’s practical application as a new type of material.
