Simulation and analysis of wall heat fluxes for shear coaxial GH2/GO2 single element combustor

  • With gas hydrogen/gas oxygen being propellant,adopting numerical simulation,design parameters of shear coaxial injector,namely ratio of fuel velocity to oxidizer velocity and the ratio of oxidizer pressure drop to combustor pressure have been studied to find their impact on combustion characteristics and thermal loading of chamber wall.The simulation results of two kinds of wall boundary condition which were adiabat condition and isothermal condition were compared with experimental result.It shows that the increasing of the ratio of fuel velocity to oxidizer velocity improves the combustion performance and wall heat flux.The increasing of the ratio of oxidizer pressure drop to combustor pressure decreases the combustion performance and wall heat flux.In comparison with wall gas temperature,wall heat flux is more consistent with the real condition when used to predict thermal loading of combustion chamber wall.
