Experiment of flow characteristics of direct transfer pre-swirl system

  • Flow characteristics of a direct transfer pre-swirl rotor-stator system were investigated experimentally.Static pressure distribution on the stator,discharge coefficient of pre-swirl nozzles and mass flow rate distribution principle at the rim seal and receiver holes were obtained.The results show that the shapes of static pressure distribution on the stator are mainly affected by mass flow rate,and slightly affected by rotating speed of the disk;with equivalent mass flow rate of pre-swirl and disk cooling air,discharge coefficients of pre-swirl nozzles are mostly decided by mass flow rate coefficient at pre-swirl nozzles;for the physical model and operating conditions presented,the ratio of mass flow rate coefficient at the rim seal to total mass flow coefficient is above 0.7.
