Improved weighted essential non-oscillatory methods in hypersonic heat-flux simulation

  • Numerical scheme is one of the most important factors for hypersonic heat-flux numerical simulation.Weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) scheme was improved to meet the above requirementsutilizing hypersonic flow characteristics to control the numerical dissipation. The improved scheme can effectively distinguish shock and other regions of large gradients with high resolution, and reduce numerical dissipation to improve numerical high-resolution near the wall.Three numerical experiments indicate that the numerical method proposed here is effective.
