Research on aircraft engine component-level models based on GasTurb/MATLAB

  • Aircraft engine component-level models were developed in MATLAB using the dynamic link library technology based on GasTurb which is an aircraft engine performance analysis software.An aircraft engine component-level model library consisted of 22 models including turbojet, turbofan, turboshaft, and turboprop engine types was built in Simulink.Then the seamless transition was achieved from GasTurb to MATLAB.The application example and simulation results verified the validity and high customizability of the models.The interaction barrier between performance analysis and control system development was eliminated and a flexible simulation platform was provided for the future research on engine control and fault diagnosis.
